This is an excellent chippie!! I know people that come from Ayr just to sample their Fish Suppers! When i'm back home in Kilmarnock its one of the first places that i have to visit.
I have never had a bad Fish Supper from there and the staff are always clean and friendly.
The only bad points is the length of the queues!! But thats what you get with success. And the lack of parking facilities. If you are lucky you can get parked in one of the four spaces outside the shop failing that you will have to park on the street. -

I stopped in late last Sunday after being told this is the best place in Killy to get a fish supper. Really, really good... this may be the best fish and chips shop anywhere. Friendly and courteous staff, fresh fish cooked to order, gigantic portions at a great price. I live in the U.S. but will be back in May, this will be my first stop!

Went in last night found it really expensive think they must've trying to pay for all the upgrades they have done £3.40 for 2 fritter rolls cheese curry sauce

Fish supper £6 for whiting a cheap fish, Haddock supper £7. 10 pence. The word whiting was removed from the price board, now you don't know what your paying for. Cheap fish, high prices. Department of fair trading should be informed to look into it. When the word whiting was on the price board it probably would affect sales, probably thought they were getting cod or haddock, not the case, whiting!

Excellent chippy, good prices and fast service. Good choice of suppers and extra items.
It is very popular and this can lead to big queues but they really work quickly to get through the orders.
the only downside is the unusualk closing times ( closes at 8pm most nights) and the lack of parking outside, only space for 3 cars but plenty of on street parking.
Well worth a visit
